I had to check in regularly to get updates and see if anything additional was needed throughout the process. It would have been better if Trish communicated the status of things and what was expected going forward (including time frames). I wasn't sure if I would be getting an update or not, so I had to call often.

Trish proactively ensured that the loan closed on time. I had to postpone travel plans at significant personal expense due to delayed signing resulting from miscommunication between the Mutual of Omaha team and Silk title. However, I don't think this was Trish's fault.

There were some points of the process where I asked questions and got the wrong answers -- questions about escrow and stopping after a year as well as how we could use a sellers credit. That lead to frustrations.

There was little communication, an overwhelming amount of documents they needed, and despite all of our efforts our closing date was pushed back twice and they threatened a third. It reflected poorly on us, and cost us a lot of money to stay somewhere while we waited to see if we’d ever be able to move in
