True Friends damaged and ruined several of our belongings while moving them: broke an entire box of mugs, broke a floor lamp, scuffed leather couches, cracked a second lamp, broke the leg off of a dresser, put gashes in our walls and door, scratched multiple pieces of furniture. They had a third party come to repair the dresser and gashes in the walls; however for the items that were not repairable, they offered us $63 and were unwilling to consider giving us more. Timothy, We just left you a message and was hoping to clear this up. Your deposit covers the 1st $100 of your move and it gets charged at the time of booking. Then on move day, you pay for the balance for the time that you needed/used. Hope that clears the billing up for you as we charge everyone the same way : )
Horrible experience!! They charge by the hour so the movers take their sweet time. A 1 bedroom apartment that was quoted for 2 hours took them 5 hours. Cost me double what I was quoted and I unloaded half the truck myself. Do not recommend!!
I cannot emphasize enough that this is the WORST moving experience! Steer clear of this business! I’ll provide a long bulleted list to summarize my long list of issues that I had with “True Friends” moving company. Finally posted a review of true friends. Here it is if you wanted to post it anywhere else. We have moved all over North America and have utilized several different moving companies. This was by far the worst moving experience I have had. In a hand full of previous professional moves, we have had almost no damaged items. That was not the case with True Friends. Guys were careless on several items. Dryer badly dented & washing machine scratched, with the dryer resulting in one of the bearings in our dryer falling out of alignment, causing metal to grind on metal when turned on, and a separate scheduled maintenance is now needed on the dryer (both are barely more than 3 years old). Not to mention they lost 8 screws that went to our bed frame, which we later found scattered on the sidewalk of the place we moved from the following day, but had already gone out to purchase more screws... read more

DO.....NOT.....HIRE.......THESE PEOPLE!! They didn't bring enough trucks, they didn't bring enough people, they didn't bring enough boxes. They showed up the first day to pack our things, ran out of boxes and assured us they'd bring more in the morning to finish packing while they were loading. They didn't bring more. After reviewing your job, we understand that we offered to send out an additional mover/truck to assist with the additional items left, but you declined. Quoted us one amount but charged us $300 over the quoted price even though we only used them for 1 hour and 45 minutes. They charge a $249 dollar trip charge, just to get to your house before they even start moving! This company is a scam! Never again. $700 for a hour and 45 minutes worth of work. I had know idea I was paying plastic surgery prices for movers.

John, we are certainly not a scam and very clear with our pricing. We charge by the hour so that clients only pay for the time they need/use. You're referring to our minimum not an estimate. We bill hourly from arrival thru completion and have a 1 hour service charge on all local moves. Hate to see a negative review as we say it over the phone when booking, then email it over and even have the client sign/agree before we start the move.
RecommendedCorry & Joseph of True Friends Moving Company we’re prompt and on time which is very important when coming from out of town! They arrived at the unload before me, they we’re familiar with the area which was a great help! Unfortunately at the end of the move- True Friends overcharged us by 1 hour. When called into the office- they did not want to listen nor make an adjustment- just silence at the end of the line! Guys arrived at 9am and job was over at 2pm.
