I've used this company for years and until now I have had no problems that were not handled promptly...until now. They came this week to areate and seed but were unable to do the backyard because "the machine was too big." They have completed this service in years past, so??? Also, they unbelievably tore up the sod in our front yard and knocked our stone surround of our plant bed out of place!! I posted a concern but have not heard back from them. If I could give no stars, I would. The customer service is terrible. Three weeks and they never showed up and the one time that they did show up was during the time period I specifically requested them not to--- my kids nap time. I would love to comment on the service itself but I can't... because we never even made it that far.
The only reason I've kept trugreen for 7 years is because every year they would promise to fix my yard which was perfect before I hired them. The last 3 years it has gotten really bad. This year its out of Control. You would be lucky to get an experienced technician that actually knows what he is doing. I am very anal about my lawn looking good as it's one of the best in my neighborhood. I pre pay for the entire year and my lawn looks like a forest of weeds. I contacted True Green in my area to fertilize and weed contain my yard. After 6 treatments and $$'s later my lawn showed no improvement. I contacted them and a refund since my lawn did not look better. Spoke with the manager they take your money but will not refund for services that showed no improvement. I would not recommend them!!!!
Never had so many weeds growing after a year with true green. I planted Sod and they killed that. They a fairly decent job of overseeing, but nothing special. They don't have an answer for weeds
If I could deduct stars I would. We called true green a month in advance and then a week in advance to schedule aeration on a specific day so my husband was available to lay top soil and seed (true green does not provide this service). We were assured we were on the schedule for the agreed upon day so my husband took the day off. We received a call stating they were coming a day early. I cannot recommend TruGreen and just cancelled my service. I have a fenced yard with a locked gate and I have animals that have access to the yard 24x7. When I signed up for the service stated that someone must be home when service was performed and that we wanted morning (7a to noon) appointments as that was easier to rearrange our schedule to accommodate. Two years ago they killed my entire front lawn. At great time and expense I have replaced and regrown my grass. They continue to solicit for my business. One of their "techs" stuck a sign in my flower bed. I called and asked to have it removed. It's still there. I'm amazed they are still in business.

This morning as I was taking a walk, I saw a Trugreen worker spraying an entire lawn, on a windy day, with weedkiller through a hose. While the worker was covered from head to toe in protective gear, I obviously was not and the spray drifted onto me, and was all over the sidewalk. I am already trying to manage one form of cancer and am very upset. No responsible lawn care company sprays an entire lawn with weedkiller as maintenance. And on a windy day, are you kidding me???
