I recently moved from Manhattan to Long Beach, Long Island and was mourning my gourmet grocers: Citrella, Chelsea Market, Fairway. Then someone suggested Uncle Giuseppe's. This foodie was in food heaven. Gorgeous store with amazing products!
this place is italian heaven with groceries lol. we bought some cheese, garlic knots, some chocolate pretzels and a few other things. chocolate lady is super nice. they have so much to choose from and we wanna go back. my mom loved the lawn ornaments. she bought a bee one. my only complaint is that my small dog was in the cart and the manager didn't want him in the cart. we weren't going to walk him in the store so i just went back to the car with him. a little unnecessary. no one seemed to complain until we were almost do... read more

Great, varied selection. The fruit and vegetables are excellent. The staff are helpful and hardworking. The isles are nice and wide and the parking lot is well maintained. The prices are higher than other grocery stores, but reasonable given the quality.

My friends & I went back to Uncle Guiseppe's recently : We LOVED IT ! (Hard to believe I'm writing a review about grocery shopping!) Made a day of it - once again, we went there to eat lunch *before* we began our grocery shopping. Food service area did NOT disappoint: clean, fresh, & DELICIOUS ! Great stuff too if you love Sushi ! Kudos to the Sushi chefs for the excellent selection. Love the Kani (crab) salad, Naruto rolls, fresh Salmon, Tuna, salads & so much more. We tend to stop in Thursdays and Sundays for a fast lunch in their cafe and to pick up prepared foods for a few evenings. The array of choices and quality of the items are terrific. The bakery, candy station, and prepared foods counter are not to be missed. I don't know much about the other Uncle Giuseppe outposts but this place is great. If I could add anything to the place it would be a pizza oven.
I have been to this location for many years, many times. I have had both good and not so good experiences as far as the parking and it being so small and crowded at times but that was more prevalent years ago when I was also on the go with kids, work and family obligations. So besides the back parking lot being a hot nightmare the front one isn't much better. But with that being said never once were we disappointed with our food. EVER.
