I decided to pick up a few prepared veggies they're charging top dollar, yet the veggies weren't cooked to a tender state. For all the money thats being charged they should be ashamed.

I went in for broccoli rabe. There was none out but had a large display of regular broccoli. Pay for it, trim, wash, prep and time cooking and ....... taste is off and unpleasant - like foot or old closet. Please don't sell old veggies at top prices.

Picked up a pumpkin pie here on the Wednesday before thanksgiving. They had a bunch of Pumpkin pies that were warm and seemed to come right out of the bakery. Everything looked good until I put the knife into it on Thanksgiving eve...the pumpkin was almost all liquid!!! It never settled. Obviously this means the workers in the bakery messed up on the amount of ingredients in this batch. I can only imagine how many other peoples pies were ruined. I would normally rate UG very high. However, I purchased a pound of cooked extra large shrimp ($28) , from the Huntington location, that was absolutely rotten. When I got home and opened the tied plastic bag the odor was horrendous. Since I live rather far from UG I threw the shrimp out. I had to take the bag of garbage out of the house due to the overpowering smell. Incredibly disappointed. Won't be going back.

The employees especially the managers need better training. I go to this market on a regular basis. Yet, 9 OCT 2021 I was questioned three times on the price of two beverages. Then a young female manager came over and questioned but doubted the price I gave her. It is your store. Be a professional. Check the prices yourself and don't rely on the customers. If you are going to ask the customer the price then do not embarass the customer as if they are lieing. Stop the ignorance. Treat all customers the same!

I would have given UG's five stars, but decided to give it two if not one. The food is fresh, the quality is amazing, the variety is endless and their inventory is gigantic and varied. But, WHY do the guys who are in the mozzarella area using bare hands to stuff the mozzarella balls. Who does that pre- or post-COVID? Very disappointed. A once flawless store now has a major, and potentially dangerous flaw.
