I have been to Union 50 many times. The food was excellent, as always. The service was good but not great. Our server was also annoying. When we asked for recommendations she literally recommended the most expensive items on the menu. When we asked questions about other items, the questions were not answered. Been coming here for years and always loved it. Our servers have always been amazing but there have been 2 times we had the server named Mike and he has always had a very uncomfortable attitude. Last night we had a reservation booked for my girlfriend’s birthday and put this in our reservation notes. We had a very strange experience here on 1/17 with a male server that was tall, bald, and had glasses. We came to celebrate my boyfriend’s birthday, but he had been traveling for work for a week. The “Happy Birthday” card was placed on our table and I was very pleased with the setup. However, from there it went downhill. I’m not sure if the server doesn’t like men, but he gave my boyfriend grief every chance he got.
