We always love dining at Union 50, it’s one of our go to places. Sadly management hindered the Dining Out For Life fundraiser by hiding the donation envelopes. Fearing it would be objectionable to clientele apparently. They signed up to donate 25% of proceeds but this fundraiser is equally about the patrons having the opportunity to donate as well. We knew to ask for the envelopes but most would not. Very disappointed in their discussion. We will not dine here next year for the event unless they address this huge mistake.
Average food, not sure what it is either the chef changed or what but the food has gone downhill. Service was ok. Probably will not return. Used to be one if our favorite restaurant.
The restaurant seemed to be having some issues— it smelled like sewage and they did not have any white wine. The server was great! He was very friendly and attentive. One appetizer was good and the other was just okay. One person got a steak (ordered medium well) that came out raw. When it came back out after being sent back it came back very well done. Overall, we were not impressed. There are lots of better places on and around Mass Ave.
I love this restaurant but last 2 times I have been there it takes forever to get drinks and it takes about 50 minutes to get your food.
Food was sub par especially for the price. We tried many things on the menu but all were bad to mediocre. The fries were very basic. The chicken wings seemed as though they were re-fried because they were tough.
The Service was terrible. I will likely not bring a business meeting there ever again.
It seemed like raw sewage when we walked in. The sever said a drained back up and they were trying to fix it…still sat down..then the power went off right before we ordered. Was our 5th wedding anniversary. No offer to rebook or anything. Just sorry and bye. Never again.
Waitress became in a hurry to scoot us on at 9:00. Everyone was busy cleaning up to close… lights going off in many areas… made us feel as we should pay our bill and get out!! Have been a CRG loyal fan for many years… many points etc.. and on top of it, I had three holiday cards that I was told quite adamantly that they expired and she had NO thoughts or even cared! Service was very slow. Couldn’t tell if it was a general understaffing issue. But it was bad. Frequently empty drinks. Took a long tome to pay up. Not our usual experience here.
