Couldnt find anything to eat. Even appetizers didn’t sound that good. We wanted pizza. We left after drinks.
Valentines Weekend date night. It was a cool place with a cool atmosphere. That’s were the best parts of dinner end. The charcuterie board was unique but it was just 2 slices of cheese with 6 thin pieces of meat for $15-18. Then we got the bone marrow and gnocchi, both we are normally huge fans of at other places, however NEITHER had any flavor. We didn’t even finish the gnocchi despite the price. I had made a reservation for Union to celebrate one of our girlfriends birthdays and the customer service was awful. We made this reservation almost a month before the date. When we checked in with the hostess, they treated us like we didn’t have a reservation. They told us we could wait outside and they would call us when the table was ready. I would have give this place a MUCH higher review but the service was not good. I made a reservation well in advance, but still waited 15-20 minutes to be seated when I arrived. This would be fine with me except I could see our table we reserved in the bar was ready for us to be sat. We also were not greeted at the door or given an explanation to why weren’t being sat. Table wasn’t ready, seated the wrong party that they thought was me. Requested not to sit by band, sat me by band. Asked not to begin bar area...tried to seat me in bar. Terrible experience!!
The food was well-prepared, but not what I would crave and seek out. We visited on a night that was less than 10 degrees F outdoors. Our table was near the front door, which kept being left wide open for several minutes. I had to get up to close it at least three times. That was annoying. Overall, I’d eat there again if others wanted to, but I wouldn’t seek it out. If I were just walking by looking for something to eat, I’d keep walking.
Poor service.
I had 9 guests in town from across the country and wanted great ambience at a fun local restaurant. The front dining area was “full” when I called to add an additional person to our group. But it was 1/2 empty when we arrived and when we left. Steaks were prepared incorrectly 2x. My meal was “1/2 of a chicken” but came out less than a breast. I wish I would’ve chosen a different venue for my business dinner.
