Had connectivity issues with Centurylink for 16 years with a max of 40 mbps. With the quarantine going on my kids had to drive to my older son’s office 20 min away just so they could get their homework done with a decent WiFi connection. Had technicians come out twice in the last month and only worked for about 1-2 hours after they both left. Finally I got so fed up that I called Utah Broadband. They were very responsive. I had 4 different people call to make an appointment. I was a personal referral and they really made me feel like a priority. The install was seamless and the crew was really friendly and did a great job! I would highly recommend them from a customer service and installation point of view. I don’t know yet about the quality of the internet, but if it is half as good as the sales process it will be really great!
I am in a building that didn't have traditional options for Internet service. UBB was the most cost effective option available. Given Covid-19, the installer couldn't come inside, but, coached me through the parts inside the house to get things running. He did an initial site survey to be sure he cam equipped. He completed his part in about an hour and half. The EERO router they left me was easy to set up.
I tried to get higher bandwidth (mbps) with the local cable company. They didn't want to serve me. I tried to avoid a 1 year contract with another broadband company, but they only have one transmission tower in the area and couldn't get a good signal. They also made me wait 2 weeks before they could get a tech out here to tell me they couldn't serve me. The installation was on time and works great. Had a problem using a credit card from a previous address and that was taken care of in just a couple of minutes. Don’t know yet how well video streaming works but that is next.
