Communicating better and for someone that does not know the process of purchasing land and home there should be a checklist provided upon applying for applications so that there are no misunderstandings

I have gone through other loan companies. These companies asked for extreme amount of documentation and would asked for updated documentation numerous times. I experience with their representatives were that they were delaying my load because of their workload which caused issues with my timelines. With Vanderbilt Mortgage, they asked me one time for documentation and I received loan approval within days instead of months.

Be more straight forward. I applied back in may home center sent stuff june 24 i just got fully approved October 25 that's 5 months. Do you treat all your customers this way?. And lots of b.s and lies the whole way. Oh and I still don't have a date for when my house is coming. Was told it was ordered in July. We are in November. And no date no anything. Will be contact bbb..

More communication. The process took entirely too long and many times noone seemed like they knew what they were doing or cared. I had to renew a contract 4 times in order to get this loan and every time it was Vanderbilts fault for not getting something done. I had to move into an apartment for 3 months which was very expensive due to the short term contract. The people on my loan were usually rude and unhelpful every time I called for an update.

Vanderbilt was our last chance/last resort lender and while we did get approved for a mortgage with them the customer service/communication with them was nearly nonexistent I received various emails with different info all saying "please call me if you have any questions" which I tried to do multiple times to multiple contacts that had sent emails leaving a message with my contact info each time none of which ever returned my calls ever so while I am glad we got a mortgage I will never recommend Vanderbilt as a 1st choice fo... read more
