Hadn't tried them in a while and remember why. The service has gone to heck. Greeted by a not very happy hostess who was also a waitress and was too busy to seat us. Someone else came by and sat us near the entrance where Senor used to sit. After 10 mins of no service and a basket of bread thrown on the table we walked. Won't be back

Pizza good, customer service is horrible. Tonight's Chicago deep dish order was wrong! Cheese and spinach is easy to get right.. not for the Vita Bella staff. The order was repeat back to me correctly. So what happened? This is the 2nd order is as many months - unacceptable. Ever heard a real reason and mngt was unapologetic about it. Will not be ordering again soon.

Thursday night 6:30. Basically one employee running the whole show. He seated us, and was our server. Only four tables seated. Sweet guy, but very slow service. Warm bread served at the table. Olive oil on all the tables, but all were close to empty. Ordered a cup of minestrone, a vita bella beef sandwich, and spaghetti with meat sauce. Everything was served nice and hot. The owner is very rude. Food is good, wait staff is good, but the owner is We had a reservation a month in advanced for a special day. We arrived on time and noticed the room we reserved (semi private) was full of people just getting their food. When we brought up the concerns, the owner flat out said he DID NOT CARE! I am appalled at the way I was treated by the owner on Friday, April 25th. We had made a reservations for a party of 18 a month in advance. We had communicated thru multiple emails, in person, and a phone call. This was for a rehearsal dinner. The prearranged agreement was that there would be a table set up for 18 in the semi private room and appetizers would be waiting when we arrived. The opposite occurred instead. Horrible experience at Cafe Italia. Arrived for a small preplanned rehearsal dinner that was arranged a month in advance (emails to prove it) with a followup call the day before to find no private room, no preordered appetizers and no responsibility from the owner. He yelled at the mother of the groom telling her he did not care because she was only going to spend $400. Shocking lack or professionalism. We have been ordering from Vita Bella for years and each year prices go up and quality goes down. I ordered a 12" pizza ( sausage and green peppers) and a tiramisu and with delivery it was $36.78!!!! The sausage and green peppers were so small I couldn't see or taste them. I could have gotten a cheese pizza and saved some money and it would have tasted the same. I'm officially done with this place.

The food was aweful; the salad was wilty lettuce with horrible dressing;, the veal was not even veal and prepared so fast; mushrooms were spoiled on top of veal. Was sick for 2 days. Never go back. It's nothing but a fast food place where the food likely sits on a pan until warmed up. Ugh!
