We went there for dinner because of all the good reviews. The service was okay but the food was disappointing. We ordered clams and mussels as appetizer, there were literally only 4 tiny clams and mussels soaking in extremely salty sauce. My husband ordered veal, but it was over cooked. I don't understand why this place has such high reviews. Their food is Olive Garden level.
We came here for the ambiance, having been recommended as a romantic restaurant. The ambiance and noise level were comparable to a mosh pit at a Violent Femmes concert ... so much noise that it was challenging to think about anything else. The service was quite good, it must be said, but we didn't get to fully enjoy it as we ate and got out of there as quickly as possible to end the assault on our eardrums. What a difference a few years makes, I always said this place was great, but yesterday's fiasco was inexcusable. I ordered online, waited to get update pizza and pasta was done, go in and right away 4 people all waiting. Girl was super pleasant but could not find my pizza, then they have me wait another 30 minutes before deciding to just make a new pizza. The continue to give me pasta that was sitting g there for 30+minutes. Over me a 1/2 refund and never give it to me. Last time here. Oscar was manager on duty and he... read more

Having your waiter chase you out to your car to demand a higher tip is one of the most unprofessional experiences I've ever experience. After today, I'm no longer coming to Cafe Italia.
(Find a better place that respects your money) This used to be the spot. Unfortunately ruined by careless employees and Rafael the manager who is as dull as doorknob. The experience hosting a pizza party was ruined. They delivered the wrong order, and I have guests who couldn't eat meat. So everyone is just standing and waiting for the replacement which ended up coming 50 Minutes later. No compensation, no care from the manager Rafael. I wasted $70 hopefully you all take your money elsewhere that actually respects your money... read more
