My only dislike is we were out for anniversary and the way the tables are put together our table was kind of up against a corner in a tight spot and we were put between a large party behind us and a loud party of 4 to the side which wasn't very conducive for talking. It was just an awkward spot.

Amazing New Year's meal. Great service, tasty food, fun times - on New Year's Eve! We loved the entire experience.

I have been visiting WA Frost since it opened many years ago. I live in the burbs so the visits are always special occasions and I can recall many memories. This occasion came up quickly as a "goodbye lunch" for an awesome assistant. The reservation was made online in seconds and we motored over and had a superb experience with terrific service and excellent food at a very good price.

I really enjoy coming here for the food and the restaurant itself. It is located in a historic part of Saint Paul and the decor has stayed true to the era. Think late 1800s, early 1900s wallpaper, ornate tin ceilings and fireplaces. There are times it feels as though you are dining in someone's home instead of at a restaurant. It can get very busy around dinner time and I recommend having a reservation when you go. That being said, it can also get crowded and noisy. My husband and I were inadvertently eavesdropping on others... read more

This establishment never fails to disappoint! The decor, the service and the food are top notch! We dined early on New Year's Eve and enjoyed the gorgeous holiday decorations in their full glory. ( I had wished I had captured them on my camera.) The wine list is extensive, the choice of entrees and starters varied, We began our meal with the Cold Smoked Ocean Trout with pastrami spices, whipped horseradish, pumpernickel, crouton, pickled red onion, cabbage sprouts- tastey! I had the Roasted Cod Roasted w/ vegetable chowder, p... read more

We recently visited WA Frost with the whole family. We don't often eat there because it is reserved for special occasions and romantic dinners, but we had a gift certificate and felt like splurging for the New Year. The food was wonderful, as expected and ambiance great as the Christmas decorations were still up. Gorgeous! But it was a cold evening and our table was getting hit with some icy drafts, prompting the kids to put their winter coats back on. That sort of diminished the experience for us. We'll be back, but maybe n... read more

My husband and I were looking for a romantic restaurant near the Xcel Energy Center. This can sometimes be challenging since it is a hockey arena, but we were going for a show. This was our first time there and the restaurant did not disappoint. The ambiance is low lighting, perfect for a romantic evening out. I loved the wood fire places and the place was all decorated for Christmas. The food was reasonably priced at about $30 a dish. I am gluten free and I thought the menu was quite extensive for my special diet needs. I o... read more

We had dinner at WAFrost with our children (14, 16, 18, 20) on a Tuesday night before heading to the Xcel Energy Center for a show. The food was wonderful (mushroom soup - amazing, Cod - fabulous, grilled beef skewers - tender and flavorful). Our server initially took the kids by surprise by addressing them as "Madamoiselle" and "Gentle Sir" - but they loved it.
