My sister has been a resident there for 5+ years. She is very well taken care of and treated with respect and dignity. The staff are like family to her and vice versa. Edith is involved in all activities and serves on Resident Council, bringing suggestions and concerns from residents to the attention of administrators and staff. The facility is clean and well maintained and I'm grateful she gets the assistance she needs at Westgate Gardens.

The staff is great, they work as a team and friendly. I am a nurse there and I believe this is the best place to work. I have seen many people come in, get therapy. Then they go home happy

I have had probably the best experience ever at Westgate. I cannot get over how the staff are helpful and how they you know to take care of your needs and they just are amazing. I've been in a lot of rehab facilities here in town, and this one is just amazing at some hands and above some of the others that I can too I would highly recommend it and if I need rehab again for physical therapy or anything, then I absolutely want to recommend Westgate Gardens excellent excellent care ArthaleneRCoulter

If I could give more than 5 stars to this facility, I would. I selected this place for my dad, after reading the online reviews for all the rehab centers in visalia. My dad was at this facility for two weeks for a mild stroke, which required therapy for the left leg and arm. I was amazed at how well this entire facility functioned. The entire staff was nice, friendly, compassionate and very helpful. I am still waiting to make a final decision on Westgate Gardens, first off it does not smell like a nursing home and the employees seem relatively friendly and happy BUT we are having some communication issues with the doctor and staff. They have been accommodating but not overly and everyone is VERY busy, we have only been here a short while so I will be updating the review as time will tell, also we are short term rehab with excellent insurance and that may make a difference. STANDBY.

My grandmother was a patient at westgate gardens for about 5 months. It was very hard for her and our family to place her in a nursing facility while she recovered from a broken wrist. I've been a florist for many years and have delivered to many nursing homes, always feeling a bit bothered by the lack of cleanliness of most.. Thinking I wouldn't want my loved ones in a nursing home. When the time came to place my grandma, this was my first suggestion to my family. My mom was at west gate gardens for 3 weeks. The staff there was awesome, the physical therapy was super and it was extremely clean , which was very important because my mom is a cancer patient .

Choosing a care facility for my loved one was such a difficult decision. I struggled with who to trust and whether I was making the right decision. I was unable to take care of my grandma myself so a care facility was my only option. Westgate Gardens made this difficult transition so much easier. They loved my grandma as their own and took excellent care of her. I would make the same decision in a heartbeat. If you are in my position, at least go learn more about them. They have a passion for caring for seniors.

This center has really messed my mom up mentally. She now feels like she is a burden and is severely depressed now. My mom wasn't like this last Saturday. She was up and walking now she is scared to fall. Too many other issues to mention in this review but think twice before placing your loved one in the care of this center.
