Get directionsThey care for you okay. My problem is their food, it looks like slop and tastes even worse. That stands for all three meals. How do they expect a resident to get better and stronger when the food is so lousy.
I applied and worked there a few days and I should have known the moment I stepped in. Jennifer and Rosa and "Q"HR team are awesome but some of the the nurses and AM cna are super rude and unprofessional Like literally unprofessional. The moment they step in building.. anywho I volunteer to resign because I didn't feel comfortable nor safe to work there. Just a total weird vibe. Its a bunch of High School Drama and ghetto BBL, fake nails looking.. And if you know you know.
This place is horrid. My folks just got out and we are relieved. They were constantly talked down to. Workers would insist that my father should just "go in his brief" because changing a diaper took less time than helping him to the restroom. My mother was treated as a visitor not a patient. My dads room would be made up while my mom's would be ignored. Food is despicable, rice with every meal. They would wake up my mom late in the evening for a shower and if she refused they responded with, "ok, no shower again for 3 wee... read more

David, thank you for your feedback. I'm saddened by your comments. Westgate has a wonderful tradition of attentive and loving care but we know there's always room for improvement. As the administrator, I'm always hoping residents and loved ones contact me whenever there are concerns of any kind. I'd love the opportunity to learn more about your experience as this is the first time I'm hearing your concerns. Will you please call my cell so we can arrange a meeting with all of our department heads to learn more about your conc... read more
I'D LIKE TO POINT OUT THIS FACILITY HAS REVIEWS FROM THEIR OWN EMPLOYEES, MAJOR CONFLICT IF INTEREST. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND READ THE REAL REVIEWS.....I could give no stars, I would. So that's the only reason I have given them one star. I have worked as a CNA in the past and this is by far the worst facility I have ever seen. My mother whom is not able to walk was here for PT, I was told that she needed close supervision. She was left in her wheelchair roaming the halls without any type of preventative taken to ensure she would... read more

Thank you April for your review. I am sorry you feel this way and understand your frustration as you see your loved one injured from a fall. We know how difficult it is to see your loved one have a fall and injury. We wish we could prevent every fall. Westgate is constantly working to improve our fall prevention measures while following the regulations requiring us to make the facility as homelike as possible. Westgate is highly rated by CMS (4 Stars Overall and 5 Stars for Care) but we can always improve. As a former CNA, I... read more
My grandmother had surgery and was completed non ambulatory. She was transferred to this facility where she was basically neglected. She started getting bed sores on her bottom as well as underneath her chest. Her hands were very weak and she struggled to feed herself. She is a dialysis patient and the same gauze/bandages were left on for several days. We took her plenty of clothes and she would be dressed in somebody else's clothes that did not fit her. Her neck brace was extremely dirty as well. Staff was very unprofession... read more

I would greatly appreciate the opportunity to understand more and provide you information regarding her care and condition at our facility. I can also include numerous department heads and our physician who followed your grandmother in the care conference so we can do a thorough review of your grandmother's care and condition. My 84 yr old mother arrived this past Thursday nite, (Feb 8, 2018) we brought her own Cpap machine along with her Distilled water, (Sealed jugs) by Sun morning I looked down at the water and noticed that the jugs seals were never broken!?! So basically Mom never received her CPAP for the first 3 nights b/c the CNA left the decision up to an 84 yr old woman who doesn't remember what day it is or what she had for dinner!?!? Too lazy to call the POA up.....(daughter) would rather do nothing all nite On Admission I was given a l... read more
If you don't live nearby, do not think you will be able to speak regularly, loud-and-clear, to your loved-ones. If you do not make arrangements at time of admission for a land-line, in-room phone, you are relegated to call the nurse-station, hope their one cordless unit is free, and then realize everyone else on that floor must also use the handset for in-coming calls, which is likely to entail a wait, a lousy, spotty connection, and more likely, a dying battery. Such a "classy" and definitely costly establishment, should ... read more

Hi Linda, Thank you for bringing these matters to our attention. We are so sorry to hear about your poor experiences with the phone system. Due to your experience, along with others we've identified, we are in the process of completely overhauling our phone system. Travis, Administrator
