Short Wait Time 5/5 Ambience 5/5 Food 5/5 Drinks 5/5 Service 5/5 The service here is good, In a gay area which is nice. The food came out pretty quick & the quality of the food was delicious!
A location of a small regional chain is in Hell's Kitchen. It's one of about several that are in Brooklyn and Manhattan. Westville has mostly the same menu items at each so if you like one place you probably should like the food at the next one. Menu consists of a mix of cheaper and upscale items. There's some things here that are super expensive but some things aren't as much. I had the vegan hot dog. It's $12 as a special. This is two hot dogs with chips and a vegetable. Order it with onions, relish, and sauerkraut for n... read more
I ordered a market plate to go. It came with artichoke hearts with Parmesan, broccoli with garlic, Brussels sprouts, and garlic mashed potatoes. I really liked the first three items. I was disappointed in the last item which was coined as "garlic mash" on the menu not mashed potatoes so I was expecting a garlic purée like I've seen at Mediterranean restaurants. I don't understand why 4 vegetables cost $20 though.
Reliable, always consistent and fresh. First time at this particular location. Zero complaints. Very attentive hostess, like at the other one in the East Village. Had the California Benedict (Poached eggs on a crispy hashbrowns type fritter) with a little arugula and avo salad. Very tasty and satisfying. My brunch mates enjoyed their food, too (the Beyond Burger and Avo Toast). Westville is always an easy, delicious, clean hit with no fuss, no complications. If a bad experience is had here, my guess is it's you, not them! ... read more
Meh. The atmosphere and service were great, but the food was just okay. We had grilled salmon and a salmon burger. Both came out so fast, I find it hard to believe they were cooked fresh. The grilled salmon was dry -- in fairness, we didn't request (nor were we asked) how we wanted it cooked. The salmon burger was very firm, pretty dry and seemed like it was deep fried. Other than the food, I really like this place, so I'll give it another try and update my review accordingly.
I really enjoyed my bbq cauliflower salad with tofu and the side of sautéed kale. Nice flavor for the salad components, but I don't think it would have been filling without adding the extra tofu. Overall it's on the pricey end- the salad with tofu (need to pay extra for tofu) is $20. The sautéed kale with pumpkin seeds was flavorful!! They have several vegan options that I did not try such as burgers and hot dogs. Overall a great neighborhood spot with yummy and healthy options, but slightly expensive imo.
Great spot for high quality food with decent prices in Hell's Kitchen. Service was great and food was tasty. We got the truffle park fries which were absolutely perfect. The sandwiches were also good with tasty Portuguese bread. Definitely go for the sweet potato fries over the regular fries as they were perfectly cooked too! Would imagine this place to be great for brunch as well!
Awesome place. Highly recommended for brunch. A lot of original dishes. Everything tastes fresh
I ordered the Citrus Mahi Mahi with wasabi based mash potatoes and sautéed spinach. Fish was cooked just right and delicious, enjoyed the potatoes and spinach. Also ordered a Brooklyn Ale, very good, a summer ale with less bitter taste. Waiter was excellent, attentive m, but not over bearing. My wife ordered Turkey Chili which she enjoyed. All in all a delightful experience.
