This is simply a GOOD restaurant. It uses simple, fresh farm-to-table ingredients in creative dishes. The room was bright and warm, with tall windows and wooden tables. It's a great brunch spot for delicious and cheery food.
I've been here twice because it's down the street from my new office. The market sides are plentiful and delicious (at least the ones I've tried) and the drinks are strong and tasty. On my last visit, I tried one of the daily specials, a steak, that was really tasty and cooked just as I asked it (very rare). I was a little disappointed that I couldn't swap out one of the special sides, green beans, for a vegetable I actually enjoy, but policy is policy. Great lunch with co workers!
While traveling to NYC I was able to meet up with a friend and found this little gem. At first when we walked in we weren't sure what to expect - it was a little noisy and seemed crowded (which could be a good sign). We sat at a small quaint window table for two and were both pleasantly surprised with the menu! Farm to table veggies are always so good. Even the lowly hot dog and grilled cheese sandwiches are taken up 10 notches. I almost always must have some of the Market Table sides...excel at roasted vegetables.
overall, food is delicious. I am so satisfied with it.
Westville is great for an affordable, comfortable, healthy, and incredibly tasty meal with friends. Day-of reservations for 8 being available made me worry it'd be empty, but the restaurant was pleasantly full (not overcrowded) and the food was just phenomenal. I stuffed my face, but because the delectable market sides are all fresh, local veggies, I was comfortably full while still feeling alert and happy, which is not often the case with my gluttony. I will be back all the time.
