I went with a few colleagues and I had the market plate of veggies, great taste, selection and very satisfying. My colleagues got sandwiches and burgers, all looked really good and they were happy with their choices. There's not many options in the area but Id even go out of my way for this place, it is busy so make sure you get a reservation.
We had dinner here recently. Pretty good food although nothing to write home about.
The entire menu was great but the market menu is a really great concept. I could have been happy with just that but we decided to try a bunch of the entries and they were each great. The best part of my meal was the chiptole Bloody Mary-almost a meal in itself. I totally recommend this place . the service was great.
Order the market vegetables, as least as a side! They are so fresh and yummy. It was great to be able to make a res for brunch.
First time at Westville but definitely not the last. We had tickets for a performance at an arts venue nearby and we found Westville on the arts co.'s website. We had a great brunch, the service was terrific and even though there lots of families with small noisy children,we didn't feel drowned out. The acoustics seemed to absorb the noise very well.
This is a great place to dine when you don't want a huge dinner and are looking for a cosy neighborhood restaurant. We did the market greens to share-the snap peas were especially noteworthy. The cocktails are reasonably priced and creative as well.
Simple, homemade-like fare. 5 of us went for brunch. I had poached eggs on crabmeat hash. The plate came with their special muffin, think English muffin but chewy and denser, which I enjoyed. One of my company had waffles with eggs and bacon. The bacon was excellent. The waffles were not hot enough and were a bit soggy. The service was lacking. After being seated for 15 minutes, we had to wave to get someone's attention in order to place orders. Drinks were delivered quickly. Food was rather slow to arrive. We needed to wave... read more
Westville Hudson has at great overall atmosphere with a variety of food choices. After varied tryings I can say that most items will be great! There is a full bar at this location along with spacious city seating (for NYC), those factors combined make it a great place to get together with friends of for a brunch, lunch or dinner! When I doubt where I want to go, I can count on Westville Hudson.
The reason I go to Westville is their long list of market sides. They have about 20 sides - all done in an interesting and delicious way. They also know how to make a good cocktail. It is low key and the food is always good. It is up the block from City Winery so it is where we go before a show. I recommend a reservation, it gets crowded a lot since it is one of the only decent, affordable restaurants in the area.
Westville Hudson has a 4.5 star rating with 3,255 reviews.
