Would have been better if everything was finished. The lighting was horrible in some spots.
My husband & I visited the Museum and Aquarium on Saturday for our anniversary. First said, it was amazing! I'm not sure which I liked more! The staff was extremely helpful and friendly, and we are so glad we went! Now for the down side. It has been said in the media that if you buy tickets and then decide to upgrade to a membership, that the price of your tickets will be applied towards the membership. While that is true, what they leave out is that it has to be done that day! I would think that they would at least give you... read more
Needs little plaques to tell you what the animals are and a little about them.
We had a great time at the aquarium. We discovered a lot of species and they did a good job reproducing environments like swamps or the Amazon forest. One negative note from my point of view (and it's the only reason why I give only 3 stars) : the bear looked so DISTRESSED! Just walking a few feet back and forth for as long as we were there... You really need to do something, it was heartbreaking.
We had a good time. We had a party of 5 adults & 5 kids. It was quite pricey. I do wish someone had mentioned the wheelchairs & scooters available when we bought our tickets since my husband walks with a cane. We did get one after walking all the way through the Wildlife portion so we wheeled him through the aquarium, but he was hurting so bad we didn't get to go through the whole aquarium. We had taken the elevator from 1st floor to the 2nd & there was nobody there nor signs for direction to take so some of our party went o... read more
The aquarium and museum was great. The cafe did not have boxes for us to bring our food home in. We spent $21 and did not want to throw it away. They were completely rude to us. Especially the manager who could care less. I finally got someone to get me some plastic wrap. Skip the cafe.
Amazing place but I will not go back. NEEDS MORE LIGHTING. NEEDS MORE LIGHTING!!! Couldn't see things without my flash light/ camera phone Needs more placards telling what the animals are and where they are from. Beautiful fish and have no clue what most are or where they are from. It totally lacks the educational aspect of the aquarium / museum. OVER PRICED. $86 for two adults with tax is way too much. Definitely cuts out the poor. Maybe have some half price days? Advertise better. Did not know it was even open till we s... read more
I was going to bring my family there in a couple of weeks, but the ticket prices are outrageous.
I was so excited to go this weekend until I heard $40 per adult and I think I heard $20 for kids! I know the $ is suppose to take care of the place but COME ON!
