I pass Hugo's in studio city and West Hollywood all the time and I always se sit on Opentable. I had never thought to stop by until now. The Yelp reviews I read were pleasing. I stumbled upon Hugo's while I was picking up for Uber eats. Told myself I would check it out and then I came the following weekend for a brunch date. To my surprise, I was as shocked to see the many option of vegetarian and vegan items they had. Plenty of option, more than any other non-vegetarian restaurant has offered. The greeting staff was kind and genuine. Our reservation was honored immediately without having to wait. Our waitress, Michelle, was clearly busy, but always made sure we were taken care of and kind and patient with our multiple orders over a couple of hours. I love Hugo's. The menu has something for everyone, including someone with food allergies like me. The outdoor patio is so pleasant. It is half enclosed and half exposed so you feel the cool breeze. Inside, it is a fun, nostalgic diner feel.

All the staff were all very attentive to our table. We had an early breakfast so them ambience was quite and cozy. Now, the food portions are great! I really was not a fan of the Chilaquiles, but I would def recommend this place for an American Breakfast the amount of choices are endless.

Yummy! I came here for breakfast with my husband and the options were endless. I loved seeing all the vegan/vegetarian options available in both the breakfast/lunch and dinner categories. The customization is also a nice touch for almost everything here. They also have alternative milk available too for their chai tea lattes and such. The food & service have always been amazing at Hugo's. Why I'm upset & aggravated & giving 3 stars at this current moment is because of their lack of transparency with additional hidden costs that make the customer look like an asshole. There is now a 3% surcharge added for back of house/kitchen staff on your receipt. Supposedly it's stated on the menu BUT it's not stated clearly or in big apparent letters to let you know BEFORE your bill comes at the end of the meal. We find this location to be even better than the West Hollywood one. Such a great menu with so many healthy, diverse options.
