The restaurant was understaffed at opening (5pm) and it therefore took a while for us to get our drinks and food. Unfortunately when the food arrived it was only lukewarm at best. Would have been a great dish (pulpo) if it arrived soon after cooking!
Excellent experience. The food was delicious, the service was very friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere was wonderful. I will definitely be coming back and highly recommend this place
Excelente experiencia en Zama San Diego. El lugar tiene un ambiente increíble, muy diferente a lo típico, con una decoración espectacular y una vibra perfecta para una cena especial o una salida con amigos. La comida está muy bien presentada, con sabores creativos que mezclan lo latino con lo asiático de una forma elegante.
Lobster was rubbery. Do not recommend. The food otherwise was good
Excellent food. We shared appetizers/small plates for a more interesting variety. Aguachile hamachi and ceviche were two of our favorites.
Great food, good drinks, nice space for a more lively evening. Only issue was slow preparation of the main course. Was almond 1.5 hours between appetizers and mains. Drinks also took a long time to get. Would still go back for the grilled oysters.
Being a loyal and frequent guest at Zama, I can honestly say it never disappoints. The layout and atmosphere are beautiful, creating the perfect balance between elegance and fun. This time I enjoyed the raw seafood selection and the Cowboy Cut Steak, both absolutely delicious and full of flavor. What keeps bringing me back, though, is the impeccable service. I had a beautiful night at Zama last night! The Food, the service and the vibe was literally amazing. I’ll be back soon.
The food servers were so quick and amazing .  Delicious food. But besides that a super cool environment . There was nice music , an employee came out to play like bongos, we also had a sing along moment with light up fire sparklers, super unexpected, BUT FUN! highly recommend.
