Wonderful vibes, very clean and fun environment. The food was subpart and the service was terribly slow.

I planned a birthday party there a month and a half prior and called 12 times and left a message to speak to the manager, in regards to customizing the menu just like they advertise on social media. The manager never got back to me. They do a great job of promoting this place on social media making it look like a grand experience and it is false advertisement.

After sitting down, it took 20 minutes for the guy server with long hair to even greet us to take our order even though we were the only ones in the restaurant at the time. The server was like a human embodiment of a grumpy cat. He trudged over to our table, plopped down the menus, and grunted a few monosyllabic words before disappearing for what felt like an eternity. When he finally returned to take our order, he did so with a scowl on his face, as if he was being forced to do us a favor. I asked the server to specify what... read more

Came here for my birthday on a Sunday night, we ordered aguachile and returned it right away, the cucumber seemed to be just sitting in lime juice all day super slimy and soggy, and the shrimp was overcooked, aguachile had no spice too it. Entree came out filet steak came out cold and not the way I ordered it. Highly recommended The sushi rolls , drinks and ambience made the place worth it.

Not worth the $$ for the food; wait is extremely long and the cocktails were just ok.

It took forever to get a server and the food had no seasonings on it. Not even salt. Maybe the worst food in downtown San Diego and that’s no exaggeration at all.

When visiting restaurants like this I am expecting outstanding service. The atmosphere was excellent, loved the decor. The food over all was good. The side dish was a little cold but had good flavor. The service was very poor in my opinion. The server came and introduced himself very nicely but after that he disappeared for long periods of time resulting in us having to flag down other servers to get anything. Three groups that arrived after us was served before us. They switched servers on us and the second one was less int... read more

Went ti Zama on a "going away" date. I previously requested for a little special something to be brought out after our meal. I unfortunately had to remind them and it still didn't come out We ended up just walking out paying the bill. That was a huge bummer. We ordered the bison burger, dissappointed in the burger only. Fries were really good. The meat was juicey but not seasoned at all. The toppings in the burger was similar to a philly cheesesteak. Odd. Lamb lollipops were very good and the ceviche. The Caesar salad was no... read more

I gave this spot a second chance. I really wanted to love this spot. It gives off Tulum vibes. My best friend flew in from Louisiana. We went out to celebrate her birthday. It took 15 minutes for a waiter to come take our drink order. We were seated for 25 minutes before receiving our first drink. I told the waiter I drink vodka, gin, & scotch, but don't like sweet drinks. He then proceeded to recommend a mezcal drink. I went with the gin cocktail. It was SUPER sweet. We had an appetizer and two sushi rolls. They were good. ... read more
