Great food ! Service needs major improvement ! But the charge for each Cola refill is a rip off !
We arrived to our reservation and were told they were only seating people outside, when booking our reservation we had the option to request a preference of where we sat - we chose the bar. The host said we could wait for a table inside - we opted for that. She also mentioned the restaurant was overbooked so we could only stay for an hour and a half. My husband and I are here for Valentine's Day, an admittedly busy day for restaurants. We had never been here before, but the reviews and the pictures made it seems like a really fun and delicious new place in San Diego. Unfortunately, they were not ready for primetime. The restaurant decided to maximize their seating capacity by adding two-tops in a space that is not meant for it. It made the space way too crowded, even for a holiday. Was extremely disappointed. Service was poor and the staff seemed confused and disoriented. Was greeted with “Your reservation is for only 90 minutes” upon giving them my name. Had multiple dishes brought to us that we didn’t order and continually had to tell them it wasn’t ours. Food was disappointing given the price point. Too loud. Money grab for Valentine’s Day, additional tables in aisles, resulting in getting bumped several times/minute. Staff was great, but clearly overwhelmed. Good entrea, but appetizer had clearly been waiting to get picked up, room temp. Not sure we’d go back…great location and decor, but there were too many issues on what should have been a romantic dinner.
I booked this a week before. My birthday is February 13th, I’m use to it being busy at restaurants due to Valentine’s Day. Terrible customer service, communication, and service! Thru couldn’t find my reservation and tried to tell me it was at 9:30. I showed them in the OpenTable app that my reservation was for 7:30. My waiter c add me took my drink order and disappeared for literally 45 minutes! I had to flag him down to order appetizers. Where do I start? I guess it was because of Valentine’s Day it was disgracefuly full! Waiters bumping into eachother! Very little room to walk and move! The FOOD? I’ve been to some of the best restaurants in sandiego and this restaurant gave us the smallest portions of food I’ve ever seen! My girl is 5’2 and she get full off of 2 bites of a burger!and in this restaurant omg I wish I took pictures! I looked like a kindergartner made my plate and gave ma a sample of the food! Haha over all I won’t be coming back!
The service was extremely slow and the food was hit or miss!
