WORKS GREAT! Works Great!! Now my basket doesn't get filled with leaves and reduce suction.
Saved my filter This little gadget has truly saved my filter. It works FAR better than other inline leaf and rock catchers. I also have a Barracuda and while that is not required, I notice NO suction decrease. You have to make sure it floats under the water and upright, but other than that it has caught pounds of debris that did not hit my filter.

Good for undersized pumps that loose flowrate. As advertised, it does resist loosing suction, but it also doesn't capture smaller particles. They tend to pass through and get caught in my pump basket. Unless you have an undersized pump that tends to lose flow rate (which I do), I would suggest getting a bag-style leaf filter.

Four Stars Keeps the pump basket cleaner
Tricks to improve operation and prevent leaves getting stuck in the suction relief valve. I have a trick to offer. Put a few round stones (about the size of a quarter) in it the cleaner to help weight it down and put the suction relief valve just after it in the pool with the suction relief valve opening pointing down. This help to keep leaves from getting into the suction valve and getting stuck open by leave, I installed as shown in the suction box, but leaves flow to this location and into the suction relief valve.
