A must have This thing is great, a must have if you run the vac all the time. Previously anything that got sucked up ended up in the pump basket causing it to break and the pump to over heat. This Leaf catcher works great because if it get full it has a auto bypass and will not cause any damage to the pump. Easy to clean and use.

Much improved from the older design. This new design is of much better quality than the original leaf catcher from Zodiac. The plastic is of much thicker material and I was happy to see that the handle is now molded to the case then slid in like before. This product includes quick connect adapters for older (slip) type hoses and also includes a 45 degree bend for plugging into the vacuum port (if your pool has one). Attached to a G4 Baracuda, it has caught every leaf that has come through, and cleans out with ease. It does r... read more

The cyclonic action works great and lets the vacuum do its job more consistently! I purchased this from an overseas retailer in 2013 before it was available here in the USA and on Amazon. I was previously troubled with leaves and debris clogging the pump strainer on a weekly basis. The trees and garden around my pool made pool vacuum and pump cleaning one of the most hated chores for my kids since it also involved cleaning the ever clogging (H*yw*rd) leaf catcher and water pump strainer then priming the water lines (a 20 min... read more

however it is not very easy to reattach after cleaning It wars as advertised, however it is not very easy to reattach after cleaning. It takes a little time to align the lid back onto the leaf catcher container.

Easiest Design This is the best design because the canister easily twists off and there is plunger you pull out and it takes all the leaves up with it. This replaced one where you have take the entire can off the hoses and then PULL PULL PULL it apart. A complete PITA. This design leaves the top blue part connected to the hose and you only have to remove the bottom section. 10 seconds to clean verse a messy 10 minutes with the other design. Even if your old one works, like mine does, replace it with this.

Amazing Wish it was out when I first bought my pool vacuum. A must have for every pool. Get one while they are still available.
