Poor Durability Although the canister initially functioned as described, the lid (or cap) broke within a remarkably short period of routine use.

Expensive Trash Air leaks, hose comes off, and top comes off dumping trash back in pool. Can easily damage pump if your not there when it happens.

My Advice…DO NOT PURCHASE. Design Flaw. Oh, if only I trusted the negative reviews. However, after purchasing this item, I’m right there with them. It does have a serious design flaw as others have stated. The canister seal does not last more than 1/2 a season before the closure seal no longer seals out air. This design flaw causes a serious air leak through the top which ultimately effects the pump and it’s ability to function properly. The >$100 price of this unit may seem attractive, but it will cost you more that that to... read more

BAD Complete rip off. The seal at the top doesn’t even come close to working, thus air will get sucked in and ruin destroy your pump.Do not try this piece of $*%#

Two out of two failed. But there is a fix. I have owned two of these leaf catchers. The first came with the Zodiac MX8 Elite sweeper. It had a bad air leak at the lid that I could never fix, just as has been reported by scores of others. I tried replacing the o-ring but that did not work. Because of the proprietary hoses, I could not use another brand. So I bought another unit at over $90 with the same result - - air leaking past the lid. The only way that this thing can work is to keep the entire canister submerged.I solved... read more

1.0 out of 5 stars A pain that requires constant fiddling Really doesn’t work very well. You have to meticulously fiddle to keep the container underwater or else air leaks, and you get a nasty air gap in your system. Two or three times a week I’m probably out there trying to reseal it or reposition it. It’s a real pain and I recommend getting something else.

2.0 out of 5 stars Loose top The top is loose. Let’s air in to the container. Which doesn’t let my pump run right.

1.0 out of 5 stars Awful experience This seller is horrible. Stay away! They sell defective products and charge a restocking fee if you return them. They take forever to respond messages and have the worst customer service. I would give them ZERO stars if possible.
