Sucks air, ruined my pool pump ! This leaf catcher has Proprietary connection to connect to the Zodiac sweeper hoses, so no choice in leaf catchers or reusing regular one with standard hoses. This thing slowly floats to the surface and starts to collect air, slowly cavitating my pool pump and damaged it so I had to replace it shortly afterwards. It will cost you your pool pump ! This NEVER ever happened with numerous other leaf catchers I used with regular standard industry hoses. Others have reported this air leak that you ... read more

Million pieces Thing about this canister is it breaks up leafs that could just easily be in the basket to take out instead of breaking into a million pieces that get sucked into the pump basket and then into your filters. The whole point is to get the leafs out of your pool and not ever travel to the cartridges. This helps break up the debris causing the cartridges to clog pretty fast. Stick with the Hayward W560. It keeps the leafs intact and easier to take out without causing a mess with a million pieces everywhere. This c... read more

Lasted me 4 years In Arizona Summer Before It Disintegrated & Died It does the job well until it dies. The unit lasted me 4 years. With time, plastic disintegrates, deforms, doesn't seal well, and eventually cracked. So budget to buy every 4 years.

Frequently Loses Seal and Lets Air In I've had this leaf canister for 5 months now and am dissatisfied. Too many times I've discovered my pool system not running properly because air gets into the canister and then gets stuck in the pool's piping. I'm afraid to leave the vacuum connected when I'm away from home because it's bad for the pool motor to operate with air in it. Furthermore, I've read that the canister is supposed to float level... if that means the blue top should be flat to the water, that never happens... the c... read more

Would not seal properly. Easy to install but kept sucking air, which prevented circulation and causing algae to grow. I have never had to brush and check my chemicals as often using this filter. I removed it today, too bad it's just out of its warranty/return date.

Clogs up easy I have a pool that is not covered and it gets a lot of debris and I expected for $85 this would be the best leave catcher. While I was wrong. It clogs up easy and then there is no suction. The basket is not very large either. I would like to return it but they only had a 30-day return and it took me that long to realize it isn't going to work for my pool. 😐
