High maintenance masquerading as a premium product I purchased the Zodiac MX6 expecting a premium pool cleaning experience given the price tag. For the first year, it performed exceptionally well, navigating the pool floor and walls with ease. Always thros a track Bought before and lasted a few years. Just bought this one and it throws it's track every time it runs.
No good for leaves. Not good in pools with leaves. The neighbors have a willow tree and this vacuum gets jammed all the time by the long leaves.
No response from company The good and the bad. It worked good for a short time. It didn't last one season. The back wheels would come up and wouldn't lay flat on the pool.I called Amazon but they said I missed the return window. I wrote the company but never heard back. Very expensive for the short longevity. I will update the review if I hear back.
Doesn’t last long, plastic gears wear out Lasted one season. The plastic gears wear out quick and then the bot either spins in circles or doesn’t move at all. Everything inside is plastic and it just wears out in a pool too quick. Do yourself a favor and just buy one of the cheap clone diaphragm barracudas.
Not this one Not ideal if you have a leaf in the pool. It’s constantly getting stuck. The hose that comes with it is not really compatible with a leaf catcher. Might be ok with small debris and a pool without a drain at the bottom to get stuck on.
Not worth it Hose leaks air and it doesn't work if it has no suction.
Terrible no leaf catcher canister Such a dumb product that it doesn’t come with the canister to catch the leaves so your pool filter gets beat up brutally and everything get sucked right in there. The vacuum will suck up wood chips, sticks anything and push it right to your pool filter all through your equipment. Terrible
Good design but poor performance If you have a lot of leaves or debris in your pool from storms blown somehow into the pool. This gets clogged easily by even tiny twigs. It's a maintenance nightmare. I had it for 4 years and had to replace parts several times. Now it just circles around. It’s good for sucking up the algae on the floors and walls but for any heavy debris .. you gotta do it yourself.
