Fantastic We have used "droid" style pool cleaners for years in our above ground pool and we were pretty happy with them, but they took a while to do the job and coverage could be less than uniform. The Baracuda beat them big time. Simple to assemble and use, just follow the directions which are well written. It does a beautiful job, getting all of the pool bottom really clean, uniformly covering the entire surface. Good auto pool cleaner This is a good pool cleaner, it has the strongest suction I have found yet, will pick up sticks, small pine cones and other debris. The one thing that could be improved is its mobility. It gets stuck on the side of my pool steps all the time.
Works quickly and quietly We are pleased with the baracuda and the job it does in cleaning our above ground pool. This is quiet and moves around the pool quickly. The entire 27' pool is cleaned within a few hours. We previously had a Kreepy Krauler EZ vac that worked well for many years. I intend to be more diligent about keeping this cleaner out of the pool when adding chemicals, and keeping it out of the sun when not in use. Several different times in the description it said that it comes pre-assembled and all you had to do was connected to your skimmer. It said it would only take minutes. I have a higher quality above ground pool with access steps to enter/exit and a wrap around deck with pool. DO NOT BUY THIS CLEANER IF YOU HAVE STEPS IN YOUR POOL! You will constantly have to monitor cleaner to unstuck from stairs. The so called “deflector” does nothing. Why buy an automatic pool cleaner that you have to watch and unstick every 5 minutes.
