Barracuda Ranger I like this product alot. It's very easy to install and it does a great job at maintaining the botttom of the pool clean.
Needs tweaking for Intex pools I have an Intex pool, sand filter, and skimmer. The hose to the vacuum would not fit in my skimmer. I ordered a larger skimmer, but that didn't fix the problem. They told me at the pool store that most of the vacuums don't work with Intex, that I would need to put a skimmer that you have to cut a hole in the pool wall to install it. BARACUDA W01698 RANGER ABOVE-GROUND POOL CLEANER WE HAVE AN INTEX ABOVE GROUND POOL, AND ON RECEIVING THIS CLEANER WE HAD TO ADAPT THE CLEANER TO FIT OUR FILTER. IT DOESN'T SAY ANYTHING IN THE ADVERTISEMENT ABOUT THIS. AFTER WE FINALLY GOT IT TO WORK, WE FOUND OUT THAT YOU CANNOT LEAVE IT ALONE AS WE DID OUR PREVIOUS CLEANER. IT HAS A TENDENCY TO CLIMB OUT OF THE POOL AND BREAK SUCTION TO THE FILTER. THIS COULD VERY EASILY DAMAGE THE FILTER.) Great cleaner This unit works great. Easy to assemble. It works silently, cleaning the bottom of the pool without getting stuck by the ladder.
Wish I'd bought it years ago! This was quick and easy to set up and does a good job, especially for the price. It does miss a few spots, but we just hook up the old vacuum attachment and do those by hand. This is saving my husband several hours per week. It is quite stable and has even climbed the pool walls and made it's own way back onto the floor without tipping over.
Nice cleaner Great cleaner, I use it with my Intex 16 foot metal frame pool and worked good with a 1600GPh stock filter and pump. I just plug it in to the intake fitting the hose goes on for the strainer, I upgraded to a Intex 2650GPH pump sand filter and the thing now cleans the walls too, I walked out to check on it and it was going around the pool up on the sides, Part of it was even out of the water . LOL
Gift purchase I bought this as a gift for friends who just purchased a pool. They love it and say it works very well.
Baracuda Ranger Pool Vac. This above ground pool vac is working out very nicely. Couldn't be happier. I start it up, grab a cocktail and sit under the umbrella watching it work. Kids get home to a clean pool. Love it.
Does the job I have a lot of trees around my pool so vacuuming is a weekly chore. The bottom of our pool is not perfectly flat and there is even a patch in one spot so I was a bit skeptical that this will work well. I decided to get it anyway since it was one of the cheapest I could find and even cheaper since I had an amazon gift card. Assembly was easy.
