I am the family member of a recent patient. I live hundreds of miles away and relied on the staff for updates on my family member's care. They were always -- ALWAYS -- courteous, took their time with me, helped me understand the processes & treatments, and displayed extreme patience with the patient. The discharge nurse even re-made a follow-up medical appointment after it was missed following discharge from the facility. They go Above & Beyond. Your family will be well taken care of here.

My uncle had back surgery at Stanford Hospital. He was then transferred to Santa Cruz Post Acute for his therapeutic recovery. The quality of care he has received has been outstanding. Our contact person Jessica has been on point updating us every step of his recovery. We are simply speechless at the marvelous care he has received, and how much improvement he has made, since he began his recovery journey. After an extended stay in the ICUin Stanford. I was placed at post acute. I would stay for a few days shy of a year. Othink everyone did a great job. I wanted French toast more often but that being my only actual complaint, Id say that's pretty good. The physical therapists were very kind and really worked hard to get me up and moving. The nurses were professional and caring. FOr the complaints bout smell, no nursing facility will smell great. Just doesn't come with that territory. My grandma was transferred to this facility after a hip replacement surgery. Their staff was very attentive, reassuring, and communicative. My family and I are extremely pleased and grateful for their support during her recover.

I'll start with the good. They do daily physical therapy, and massages, the building is new and clean, a safe area, the staff is very nice, they monitor the patients but don't hover, and the food is pretty good. The receptionist is awesome and always willing to help, schedule rides, and go above and beyond. If you want to talk to anyone else on the staff your best bet is to go to the location otherwise you will likely not hear back and no one will answer the phone. So far so good with staff and accommodations. Brought my mom here after surgery and staff is extra attentive, Aaron, moms nurse goes above and beyond to help he feel comfortable. Mom enjoys the food, and the physical therapy has been great. Thank you staff of Santa Cruz acute!
