After an extended stay in the ICUin Stanford. I was placed at post acute. I would stay for a few days shy of a year. Othink everyone did a great job. I wanted French toast more often but that being my only actual complaint, Id say that's pretty good. The physical therapists were very kind and really worked hard to get me up and moving. The nurses were professional and caring. FOr the complaints bout smell, no nursing facility will smell great. Just doesn't come with that territory. My grandma was transferred to this facility after a hip replacement surgery. Their staff was very attentive, reassuring, and communicative. My family and I are extremely pleased and grateful for their support during her recover.

I'll start with the good. They do daily physical therapy, and massages, the building is new and clean, a safe area, the staff is very nice, they monitor the patients but don't hover, and the food is pretty good. The receptionist is awesome and always willing to help, schedule rides, and go above and beyond. If you want to talk to anyone else on the staff your best bet is to go to the location otherwise you will likely not hear back and no one will answer the phone. So far so good with staff and accommodations. Brought my mom here after surgery and staff is extra attentive, Aaron, moms nurse goes above and beyond to help he feel comfortable. Mom enjoys the food, and the physical therapy has been great. Thank you staff of Santa Cruz acute!

My sister has been a resident with SCPA for the past year. In spite of the incredibly tough year of the pandemic the staff has been absolutely wonderful to my sister. She is treated with kindness and love, even though she is not always easy to be around due to her condition. Laura in social services is one of the many staff members who has taken the time to get to know my sister. I give SCPA very high marks. I am caring for two people over 92 and have seen many SNF sites. SCPA has been the most attentive with both bathroom needs and with providing companionship. Choosing a skilled nursing facility is always a difficult decision to be made at a stressful time. I'm so happy that our choice worked out so well. Thank you so much SCPA!

I want to mention Michelle Bayuga, Social Worker at Santa Cruz Post Acute and give her great praise for being an advocate for the patients.
