If you are looking for a new and clean storage then let me save you some extra effort. This is the place to get storage. The staff, Kathleen and Alisa, were great and very helpful in reserving and finally renting two large storage units. The facility is clean, cool and easy to load or unload, even if you need the freight elevator. I did discuss rent increases but it appears that A-1 is now over that milestone but, as with any monthly service, buyer beware. I would highly recommend this facility and staff to all.

I went to this location to get a storage unit. I called before I got there and Kathleen was a joy to speak to. She answered all my questions over the phone and told me the specials. It was supposed to be 25% off the first months rent. So I made a reservation. When I got there Kathleen and Kelvin were ao helpful she said I qualified for a free month. I was shocked tbat I agreed to pay around $170 & then when she pulled up the space I requested it didn't cost me anything for my first month. If u need a storage unit go see them... read more

The storage units are clean, well lit and were nice and cool when we were in there in April-May. The staff is very nice, friendly and helpful. We had a little miscommunication problem about prorating the last months rent to the days we were there. I thought they said they would but in looking at the contract, they do not. It was unfortunate for us as we moved out a few days after we paid the rent for the entire month. Ive used A-1 and Public and I would say both were good, but A-1 better.

After having a XLarge Drive-up Unit Price Self Storage Since 2102 next door to A-1 Self Storage and having Price Self Storage Gardners Blow Outside Greasy Black Dirt blown into our Drive-Up Unit we were very disappointed to say the least... Price Self Storage wouldn't even assume responsibility to clean what they had gotten filthy... It was awful and on everything! We had a unit here for the last year and the staff has always been very helpful. Kathleen (the manager) is very personable and friendly. The units are very clean and the security of the location is thorough. I only give it 4stars due to the fact that the rent did raise, but it seems like they are just figuring out their market as they are a fairly new facility in a high volume area. Overall i would recommend location for the price.

Very annoyed with A1 Storage! I have been with them for about 10 months now and rent has increased 2 times already. The first increase was only $10 so I wasn't that upset about it but the second increase is $40 and that is just ridiculous! You would think they would want to keep their customers but clearly they are banking on people not wanting to bother with moving their things out and just paying whatever they're told. I am very disappointed with A-1. I have only been a customer of theirs for about 6 months and since starting they have had rent increases twice. The price increments have been substantial each time; I am now paying nearly double as to what I started with. The facilities are very secure, clean, and the staff very helpful, but be prepared if you are going to store your things here because most likely your bill will be unfortunately increased as well. Time to buy my own permanent storage shed for the money I am paying.

Construction at our home for a few months so we had to put a few rooms in storage. Staff was very helpful in picking out a perfect size unit for what we need. Also, they were cheaper then 4 other places we called in the local area. Thanks again to the A1 Storage staff you were very helpful

I cannot say enough about the positive experience I have had at a1 self storage SJC. It is one exit from my home, therefore very convenient. However, there are several competitors slightly closer, but I initially chose this location because I was very dissatisfied with the storage I was renting from for over a year. We moved into a1 opening day June 2014.
