I am only reviewing the staff here because it's a storage facility and they did indeed store my stuff. J.P has always been very friendly with me and very helpful. I met James this year and he too is a 5 star customer service rep. These two ALWAYS went out of their way to help any customer I ever saw them with. I had a locker there for a few years and just ended my contract and they made what could've been a headache a much easier situation. Thanks JP and James
James, who works at the front desk, is another reason why I will miss this place. I enjoyed talking with him, and his friendly personality I will miss. He cares about the customers, and you can feel that.

Recently I rented a storage unit and was taught how to do the lock, however, the instructions escaped my memory when it came time to do this on my own. I went to the office where James, an employee, was working. I let him know I was having difficulty with my lock and he produced a pretend lock and walked me through the necessary steps. I have rented units from A-1 Storage in Belmont, CA, for 2.5 years - I moved out of the area and chose to continue storing at this location due to the excellent service, cleanliness and pricing. It far surpasses any other storage companies I have used in the past. The pleasant temperature and music playing add to the comfort when it is necessary to add or remove items. No follow up of any sort happened. Had to discard most of my staff, since it was infested with feces pr damaged. When I brought it up to a rep on cite, he advised me to "read the contract". Horrible service, A1, simply atrocious.

They SOLD my property! I have been using A1 for my storage needs for about 5 years, now. I went into the office to pay my bill in cash and the girl told me that my property had been sold at auction three days ago! They had never sent any notification, but did manage to send out a current invoice. The invoice had NO mention that my property was up for auction, nor did the girl that I spoke with just one week prior to them selling my unit, ever mention it to me! They are very excellent and used them for about 8 years now to store business equipment...
when I first signed up the guy was helpful and waiting for me b/c I am very last minute. and stayed after office hours to help me start my rental! clean, easy parking. good prices b/c they give like 50% discount the 1st 3 months. but dang those months fly by... then they have "pay 11 months, get 1 free." thing going...
With a huge, brand spanking new, presumably empty storage necropolis sitting there behind him, waiting to be filled up with the detritus of modern suburban living, you'd think the office guy here would muster up a little more enthusiasm when someone like me walks in looking for a 5x10.
