Nice managers, very nice facility, probably the best in San Diego!! Large units that were always cool. Great location.

All I have to say about this place is that it is clean, not ghetto, easy to get to, and the ladies that work here are super friendly. I've been in and out of quite a few storage units in my day, and friendly service has been few and far between. Also if you check in you can score some free boxes.

My place of employment currently has two storage units at A-1 Self Storage. I make many trips back and fourth between A-1 and work. The employee's there are all both extremely helpful and friendly. The storage units are all spotless upon renting, and they always have a good amount of parking even when its busy. There is also coffee, water during office hours. If your thinking about renting a storage unit i would definitely recommend A-1 storage.
Before my current job requiring me to have a storage unit I never really had the need or thought much of what I would like in a storage facility. I have had a storage unit at A-1 Self Storage in the Mission Valley area for several years now and I would say that the best and most important aspect of a storage facility is the customer service. I used A-1 storage for one year, having to move from one unit to a smaller unit within that time. They are friendly and accommodating. They enjoy what they do there and it shows. The building is very secure and the employees couldn't be nicer. I spoke with many people while coming to and fro from my my on the many times I stopped by to "visit my stuff" - they openly shared how superior this place was to others they had used in the past.

A1 Storage on Hotel Circle is amazing! Darlene and her staff really know the meaning of good customer service. Every time I visit, I'm greeted by my first name and welcoming warm smile. This is a great storage facility! I have been renting a unit here since February 2010 when my brother became critically ill in the hospital for 6 months. With check in you get three small free boxes!! I picked up a bed from my cousin's storage. The staff was super helpful and very sweet. They offered us candy and coffee while my cousin had to make some purchases. At first I was weary because the storage was on the 5th floor and we were picking up a bed!! They had flat beds for your use right by the elevator. It was actually pretty painless and quick. It helped that my cousin's storage was packed quite nicely. I received beyond excellent service from Darlene and Maira. I had a family emergency and had 2 days to pack up and go across country. Both Darlene and Maira made it super easy to pack up and get my stuff moved in. I thought I had set up automatic payments (but I had forgotten in my rush to move) and the day rent was due, Darlene personally called me to remind me to pay so that I wouldn't get a late fee.
