My auntie appears to be looked after very well. She has a stent in her throat due to cancer and the food she is given suits her condition. All staff are very approachable and helpful and if you do have any questions to ask they take time to explain things fully.

My father in-law had the misfortune to experience this care home. I wont go into great detail, i've seen replies to other negative reviews where the management suggest contacting them to discuss the issues. I discussed the issues while my father-in-law was in the home, repeatedly and they were not addressed. These carers who we are expected to put on a pedestal fir their efforts ( at this home st least) manage to sit outside 2 sometimes 3 times an hour for a cigarette. When it came to caring gir my father in-law I can only s... read more

Resident admitted at short notice. No pre-admission assessment. Diagnosis of quadriplegia not noticed. Patient hoisted on straps. Staff generally friendly and helpful but much misunderstanding and misinformation. Two hourly turns from spinal unit request changed by management to four hourly - and longer. Resident now has large bed sore on lower spine, now being dressed 3 times daily. High-dose antibiotics causing mouth ulcers. Is on morphine patches. Two hourly turns now being administered but physio to prevent spasticity no... read more

No option for no stars. If you want your loved ones to be safe, clean and looked after, please avoid this care home. if you question your loved one's progress expect everyone to say what you want them to say, and not the truth. Loved ones are left to fend for themselves. If you want unwitnessed fall added to the list, this is the place. Food is not encouraged before it's taken away. Drinks are limited, as in the heatwave no drinks were available for 3 days! The very professional response from the manager was 'they have tea o... read more

I believe the care staff do the best they can but I am not convinced there are enough of them or that they are "directed" appropriately. When I want information about my father, it is difficult to get an answer without being passed around from one person to another and this is very frustrating. I worry about the stimulation of residents due to what appears to be a lack of staff to spend time individually with residents.
