Get directionsWe have only had contact with the home since July 2020. As a family, we are very pleased with the care that has been given. We have been kept informed of all aspects of care for the whole of the time. The staff are warm and friendly and nothing is too much trouble when we have contacted them by phone as we cannot visit at this moment. We are kept up to date by email as well as phone.

The staff at Abbey Grange are friendly and pleasant, due to the current COVID situation, they have adapted and put measures in place so that visiting my grandparents was like a home from home experience. The staff are patient and kind and engage my grandfather, who despite having dementia, make him feel like part of the Abbey Grange family. I would like to thank them for the hard work they do.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review for Abbey Grange. We appreciate all feedback and comments. It's wonderful to hear that your Grandfather has settled in so well with the Abbey Grange family and that you enjoy visiting our home.
Always a friendly welcome. My dad appears happy and mostly well cared for although he hasn't got out of bed often enough and spends large amounts of his time alone. I feel staff could offer more entertainment for him within his room through staff putting DVDs on or music for him to enjoy.
I find all the staff very friendly and are answering any problems I might have regarding my husband. I would recommend Abbey Grange.
My brother is a resident at Abbey Grange. As I only get to see him once a week for a couple of hours, going on this I can see the carers/clerical staff do their utmost to see to the needs of the resident. I realise this is a difficult thing to undertake, as I helped my sister cope with care of my other brothers some years ago. I am a half brother a lot younger than them.
Have been very pleased by the way the staff treat their patients, the home is very clean and well run. I have also been impressed by the way staff go about their duties. The meals are good and always well presented.
Staff at Abbey Grange cared for our mother as if she were their own. She was shown dignity, compassion, stimulation and kindness by care staff, support staff and management. Her rooms were kept clean and tidy all the time, and mums belongings always safe and secure. The food was good and adapted to her needs, she was helped to eat when required. Staff were also keen to ensure Mum had stimulation and this included encouraging her to participate in activities as well as simply talking with her. They made time to understand her... read more
I feel the home provides an acceptable level of care. Staffing levels appear good in terms of the ratio of carers to patients. I have visited on a regular basis and found this to be so on all visits. My major concern is the standard of the rooms which is very poor. I have only, in my many visits, ever seen one domestic and never seen any deep cleaning and in fact, my relative's room has always got food (biscuit pieces) on the floor (the same pieces in the same place) for several days.
The staff are excellent. Always welcoming, kind and patient. I was very nervous how dad would settle in at a nursing home but he likes it here and that's mainly down to how he's looked after. Recommended.
