The staff deal with multiple clients with dementia based conditions. They treat all clients with dignity and consideration even when clients are disruptive, argumentative and abusive.

Our Mum has recently had another fall through her determination to do things on her own even though there are things in place to alert staff when she moves. We would like to commend that carers for responding quickly, notifying medical staff and contacting me by phone. I fill this in with regards to my late mother who passed away in September 2018. My mum was happy in Abbey Grange. The staff were wonderful as were the management. She was made to feel relaxed and she enjoyed the banter with the staff.

The care home is kept very clean - doesn't smell. The staff are lovely, they are very friendly with our family and treat my father kindly.

My mother has a large room in Abbey Grange which is excellent for her as she needs a hoist for mobility. The food has been erratic in quality but there has been a recent improvement. Why aren't items such as malty drinks and mint sauce provided for meals/every day? For the money paid they should be. Many of the staff are very pleasant and welcoming. Have had to mention poor hygiene care on one occasion which seems to have improved. Someone needs to clean the window sill where flowers/plants are kept.

My mother in law has been a resident at Abbey Grange for nine months and I have found her care to be really kind and caring and also they are very friendly to both resident's families and visitors alike.

I find Abbey Grange Nursing Home friendly, professional and accommodating. On my visits, I find the staff efficient, caring and showing empathy.

My husband has been in Abbey Grange three and a half years with ever advancing Alzheimer's Disease. From the outset, the staff have treated him with kindness and dignity, even when his behaviour was challenging. I have always been involved in decisions about his care and been made to feel welcome. I am very grateful to all the carers. Theirs is not an easy job and they work long hours - but always seem cheerful and friendly.
