The food all had some sort of weird seasoning and tons of salt. There were 4 in our party and all different meals and none of it was good. My kids basically pushed their meals away. Salad was warm, fish was hard and overcooked, etc. Shame because it is located in a beautiful establishment.
Service was as good as it could be. We only saw about 3 servers working the night we went. We felt bad for them. We ordered an appetizer from the manager when she came to check on us, never received it. The wait for the food was a bit long. The food was decent, but nothing that I would go to again.
The $38 platter for 2 was mostly fries and bread......and now that this place won't let me comment on their posts , I have unliked my like and I am putting the word out about this place....I'm not a tourist , my family have been inlanders since the 80's so yes I know a few people down there....I could recommend lots of much better places to eat for a better price....anyone interested just message me.
Before I give a review I would first like to say that I think it's really sad that I am at the ocean & the fish I'm eating is from over seas....its swai....google it, the fish was ok, not bad, but nothing to write home about. I had the crab cake and there was very little seasoning on it. The kids had the Boom Boom Shrimp and there was very little sauce on it and they said it tasted more like just popcorn shrimp. My husband had the New Orleans Medley and said the gumbo was very good. We also had silverware for three of the four of us and after our waitress told us three times she would get us another set my husband gave up and went to find it himself. Well the oysters and iced tea were good. Shrimp were tiny and gumbo was bland And fish panchatrain was bland also. Boo won't be back
THANK GOODNESS FOR THE HANGOUT! We just pulled out at 9:16pm because they were "closed"! My wife called ahead and they said they were open. These people are ridiculous! Will tell everyone to avoid this establishment for the simple fact that if the managers can't close at the appointed time then can the cooks properly prepare food? Hope all the other customers survive these idiots like those that posted a 5 star rating.
My husband and I went to the new ACME Oyster house in Gulf Shores 11/15/2015 and we ordered the Char grilled Oysters and they were so small all of them could fit in the palm of our hand. We specifically asked if the oysters were of good size and they were shucking good sized oysters and when we got our order they were tiny. The size of the tip of my pinky.
