Worst dining experience, oysters were so salty you couldn't eat them; the crackers were stale, service was nothing to write home about. The manager said all Oysters were salty but never came to our table to address the issue. Would not recommend this establishment.
I was very disappointed stoping there just for my disabled mom and dad to bring them some soup for dinner, Oyster Rockefeller soup. My god you are awful proud of that soup 18.00 dollars for 2 cups. Wish I could show you the two cups of soup you made them ( I did take two pictures ) but no way to post it here. They wort even the same amount in the two cups.......... I wont be stoping there for soup no more, or even taken any of my out of town friends there to....... Maddog
AWFUL SERVICE AND THEY ADDED 18% GRATUITY ON OUR TAB OF ONLY 3 PEOPLE! THE PRICES ARE TOO HIGH FOR THE FOOD THEY BRING YOU IT'S VERY SMALL PORTIONS AND WE WAITED ON OUR FOOD FOR 1 HOUR AND 30 MIND AFTER WE WAITED FOR A TABLE FOR 45 MIN I WILL NEVER GO BACK!!
Maybe it was a bad night, but the service was terrible. They never even took our drink order. We asked the people next to us if we should just leave and they answered with a resounding yes!
Two star food at five star prices. I feel sorry for the unsuspecting tourists who are going to flock to this place thinking they're getting an authentic taste of New Orleans. Well, actually they are. "Tourist New Orleans" food is about as disappointing as this. It's a beautiful building and the service has been good the few times I've been, but the portions are tiny and the quality is more miss than hit. Terrible first experience. I am a local and was excited to go out on this HOLIDAY weekend. We just came in at 1:00 for lunch and was told that we could not sit outside at this WATERFRONT because they did not have enough servers to open up the deck. We then ask about sitting in the bar where there was also tons of seating to be told that it was also not open for seating because insufficient servers. I would also like to add that this is the first time I have ever posted a bad review on any business!
Took 15 minutes to get a waitress to greet us, another 15 to order food and a total of 45 minutes to get our lukewarm food. Had to go inside to get another refill on my drink. Disappointed in our visit today to the Acme Oyster House!
