Unfortunately, the experience here at Allegro was very underwhelming. We came for an early reservation at 5pm, the restaurant was not busy but it took almost 2 1/2 hours to be served 2 salads and an appetizer. Needless to say we did not order an entree and instead paid the bill and went to a different restaurant a few blocks down. Order was completely wrong and cold when it came out. Understand restaurant is in need of help but wait times were super annoying.
Sloppy service. I don’t think our waiter knows anything about their menu or about food in general. “What’s in this drink” was answered with “I don’t know but it must be good!” Somebody asked for white anchovies and he said yes. No, they were regular anchovies. I didn’t even tell my Aunt but the busboy accidentally dipped his finger into her water when he dropped off a new lamp. Did nothing. Unfortunately we were never served after being seated. My guests and I waited for over 20 minutes for someone to come by to collect our drink order. We were starving and so we left to find a different restaurant.
Waited 30 mins for drinks, hour and half for our appetizer, and after asking if our food would take just as long, it came out 5 mins after the app. Pretty sure our waitress forgot to put in our order of drinks and apps since she disappeared for half hours on end.
My best friend and I were looking forward to eating here on our visit to Little Italy due to the positive reviews. However, our experience was off the a bad start from the moment we approached the hostess table. The food was bland and didn’t have a lot of items I requested. Service took forever. Was not impressed
Honestly everything at this restaurant can be ordered elsewhere in little Italy. There’s no special ambiance or food item that isn’t offered somewhere else and after this experience I’d encourage you to seek a different option.
