Amazing experience and loved the dishes we ordered. The staff and manager accommodated us very well and help. Give me a great celebration for my birthday. The drinks were on point, especially the wine that we ordered and big thank you to the manager for the delicious dessert and lemon cello.
Our experience at Allegro was fantastic! We arrived early for our reservation, and it wasn't a problem; they sat us right away. We waited a bit for our server to arrive, but it didn't bother us too much, as we were amazed by the decor of the place as well as the menu of so many wonderful choices. Our appetizers were beyond fabulous! I recommend the zucchini blossoms! I am still dreaming of them! Our dinner dishes were just as phenomenal, giving you not only good flavor but a comforting feel.
We came in for a date night, already moderately full from snacking beforehand, but the food here was simply irresistible — we found ourselves happily eating past comfort and into a blissful food coma. I would like to share that Allegro is a popular restaurant so with that I feel burnout from the chefs and servers can develop which has an effect on the quality of food and level of happy service. Other than that we felt it was good enough service but nothing above what we expected for a top rated restaurant in little Italy.
We got there right when it opened, fast service and amazing atmosphere. Since it was during the day we did have an issue with flies surrounding out outdoor table but once we notified the server he was more than happy to move us inside. Inside and outdoor dining was both beautiful.
We had a great meal at Allegro. Our server Alessio was amazing. He timed our meal perfectly. Drinks were always filled. We enjoyed the cheese wheel pasta and fettuccine dinner special for that night. Ambiance was fun and lively, drinks were well made. Service by all staff was attentive. We'll definitely be back!
We sat outside, perfect setting perfect night, warm weather in San Diego. Waiter was very present and the food was delicious.
This was one of the best experiences we have EVER had out to eat! We were sat in the Lemon Patio (upon request) which really just started the evening perfectly. The ambiance and mood was photo worthy in every way. We were greeted warmly by Andres and ordered espresso martinis and the bruschetta appetizer. He was friendly, knowledgable and very attentive. The food it was really good. The services wasn’t that good, the personal really nice but forgot some times to check on us, they didn’t have all the plates and silverware ready in the table when we sat down and brought it until the food was already served. Finally the drinks also took a little while and got them after the food arrived. Overall good but for the price I think the services wasn’t to the standard.
