I fin that today that most products do not last as long as you think they might so purchasing a protection plan is a no-brainer. For example I bought a headset a year ago and bought a protection plan. With decent care the headset still broke so I was able to use the plan to get a completely new headset for a fraction of a the cost plus the price of a new plan. Probably one of the easiest processes I've ever experienced. Extremely customer friendly and responsive.
The cost of the protection plan was very reasonable. I was able to quickly settle my claim fast and efficiently online with no hassle. I was offered the options to have the item repaired by an authorized repair facility, to be sent a new item or have funds sent to me repair or purchase my item on my own. The entire process was handled satisfactory. I was very pleased with the plan.
