I had it with this company. I filed a theft claim last year, the claim specialist is awful in returning calls, answering to emails, and goes around my questions. I made a formal complaint and only received a letter covering the claim specialist actions. I need to speak with someone above my claim specialist and someone who will listen to my concerns and help me. after two years with american collectors I had a terrible time trying to renew my policy, thanks I found another company, Grundy, I already have insurance again ; will not recommend to anyone.
Much more coverage for less money. Also Taylor wouldn't insure me because my other cars were too old? I have a 84 Monte Carlo SS and a 04 Monte Carlo with less then 160,000 miles. Couldn't figure it out, I would drive any 1 of my cars to Florida tomorrow.
Thank you for not only dragging on my daughters claim but when sending the check which took 5 days because you send it snail mail ,you also sent a check that was for deposit only and most banks put a hold on those checks ( hers 5 days)Now it’s been a month since the loss and she still has no transportation.Tell your agents to be more informative and also they have a hard time getting information correct like spelling of names and addresses on the paper work you send .Have a great day
the fact that I did not keep my policy current they jack my rates up. plenty of other companies out there.
I am so disappointed in this company. My family have been loyal customers for 28 years. This company has completely dropped the ball on our medical bills following an accident caused by a red light runner. American Collectors never answer the phone, or return calls. This has been going on for months. Now the hospital is billing us because they can’t get a response either. Buyer beware.
Up to two weeks ago I would have been singing the praises of ACI, but two weeks ago today I filed a claim and have only received notification they received the claim. I initially heard that they received the claim and had turned the claim over to an adjuster, JC Collazo. Since then, and since I haven't heard anything from this JC Collazo, I've called and left messages for him 3 times. Still no response. Using ebay as a source for parts estimates is not how business is done. 89 dollars for a claim that will cost me nearly 20k of damage. Why do I even have agreed value when I would have been paid out more with statute value?
