The response was understanding and immediate. My only fault noted was that the part needing replacement was not a brand for brand exchange. I had to pay the difference for a brand exchange so my system would function as it did before the part failure.

I have a love-hate relationship with American Home Shield (or more accurately, HSA Home Warranty, which I think AHS acquired--it's a little awkward to have separate services designated AHS and HSA, but for what it's worth, we are HSA customers). We have been customers for 10 years now, since we bought our first (and current) house. When everything goes smoothly, they are excellent value for the money. Follow through and communication with the customer is not great in general. Very difficult to get point across no matter how many times I explain, and even when the issue is noted in the notes. For the current open service request for the lower household well (had no water in the house for a week), I am hoping after the contractor is here and takes pictures of the two wells and he submits the final invoice, payment will be made to the contractor less any items that are not covered.
