The worst service ever. Struggled to make deliveries every time. I terminated service and was charged $1000 for a delivery that never happened. I was repeatedly told the error was on their end and to allow for billing to make the change. Instead they turned the bill over to a collection agency and I still cannot get any answers.
The most terrible business I have ever worked with. Customer service promises things or flat out lies to you. I have been waiting for 5 months for them to remove their tank, I call every week just to get the same run around. What they do to lock you in and give you no way out should be illegal.
America’s is gouging the customer by charging 340.00 a year for tank rental along with the highest price for propane in the city. If you live in Fort Wayne Indiana, do not use this company. They are terrible.

AmeriGas was asked to provide an Estimate for a residential Oil Heat system to Propane Heat. The residence is on a small, narrow, unpaved private road. The service technician never entered the property and never provided an estimate for the work. AmeriGas requested payment for a service that was never provided. This is one of the worst companies I've dealt with. There are endless billing problems, a nonfunctional website, and customer service in the Philippines who are basically unable to do anything. I have run out of propane completely, numerous times, and it has taken 48-72 hours to get a delivery. If you have any choice of propane companies--which I, unfortunately, do not--DON'T go with Amerigas.
I can't begin to describe my frustration and complete dissatisfaction with this company's responsiveness, billing practices, fee structure and overall poor management. Recently I had plants dying near my gas meter similar to a situation I had a few years ago which resulted in an inspection, finding a leak, correcting the leak and at no charge. Absolute garbage company. Zero customer service, criminal rates, lie to customers and hide behind phone tag games, outrageous hidden fees. Everything you do with them has to be a fight. Offloading Amerigas was the best thing I’ve ever done.
I was charged several fees that I was unaware of. Fee one... Will-call fee $8.99 This fee is for actually calling and ordering propane instead of ordering online. Fee 2... Paper invoice fee $2.99 this fee is for Amerigas mailing their invoice to my home. The other fees are HazMat $ 9.99, Fuel recover fee 2.99 and of course State tax and County tax. With all these absurd hidden fees save you money and buy from another company' A one star is generous!
