AmeriGas is HORRIBLE, DO NOT ever get their residential service. They hide charges. Maybe getting paper invoices would show those charges but they are not available to be found online signing into my account. I've been trying to get my credit of almost $600 back for 5 weeks. My first call was June 3rd. In addition to get $600 over billing back, I'm waiting for them to pickup my three tanks and give me credit for the propane in the tanks. This is the worst of the worst bottom feeders. They will lie to over and over. **************** is women over in a third world country. They lied so many times to me and left me hanging in the middle of winter with no heat. I beleive it was February our main line sprung a leak coming out of the regulator. Amerigas is the worst company I have ever dealt with. Tried to do Zero stars. When I signed up with them 20 yrs. ago, they had a local facility. At some point that was closed and everything was handled on-line. There was no phone number to call. If you needed gas you had to go to their website and look at the little icon of your gas gage. I used gas for my fireplace and it was out of commission for almost a year and it was close to being empty since I hadn't ordered any during that time. Amerigas is a major scammer, they have so many complaints it's hard to believe they are in business under any name, they have exaggerated our gas bill charges and after 4 long phone calls requesting a breakdown of charges on paper, they still have not sent that, they inflate their quotes for service and product by scamming over the phone and should be investigated to the hilt.
I was sent a letter about lock in fee for the current price of gas. I did not agree with them. They also after 20 years wanted to start charging tank rental. I refused and canceled my account with them. They are still trying to collect these two charges plus adding late fees every month. They picked up there tank with over ****** dollars worth of gas in it that I paid for. Ive always paid my bill with and this is how they treat a long time customer. I placed an order with amerigas for propane. They gave me a week window for delivery. I had requested that they call before going to deliver due to someone having to be home. Im a single mom who works alot. It's clearly stated in the text they sent me confirming my order that i will be called in advance. They delivered without calling me and locked out my tank so i cant use it. Terrible support. Cannot even tell you the current price per gallon of propane. Their website says click here to see a past invoice but it doesnt work. After 12 minutes on a call finally was told how many gallons we pre bought last year and how much we used. Another 5 minutes and we got the cost for next year.
They way over charged us for years and struggled to deliver on time had to close our business couple times and lost money due to their poor communication and lack of deliveries! Be very aware. Read the reviews.
If I could give zero stars I would. Over a year ago they came to pick up my full gas tank because we weren't using it and I wasn't going to pay the yearly rental fee in this economy. They not only charged me to come get the tank but have yet to refund me the $500 from my tank being full. I call all the time and get the run around. I would not recommend anyone use this company.
