I have been calling them since February 2023 about buying a 250 gallon tank, I currently have a 250 and need another for my whole house generator. They told me I needed a site assessment first, so they came out, person said he had to talk to power company. I had a truly ZERO STAR experience with Amerigas.Context: I stupidly forgot to check my gas levels and ran out of fuel in the middle of making food for the family. This was on a Wednesday afternoon. After being put through the ringer to get a HUMAN BEING on the phone, Amerigas and their call centers charged me +$600 for an emergency delivery that I was told would come within 24 hours, which meant I should have had gas the next day. Horrible company to work with. We are due a refund. I have been contacting them for the past 6 months via different methods and speaking with different representatives. I have either been told that the check was mailed or that the previous representative misled (lied to) me and that the refund check had not been processed or mailed. I have asked for copies of the "cashed checks" but am told they don't have copies. I'm sure that they intentionally give people the runaround so that they give up on any refunds due to them.

My name is ************* was a customer of ********************** for four years trying to buy or purchase the tank I was unsuccessful and when I got a new company that dug up the tank I informed Amerigas to pick up their tank and they charged me $214 to pick up their tank that was already out of the ground, I advise anyone doing business with Amerigas that you will eventually regret it. They are a terrible company and should be put out of business.

I've tried every number to speak to a local office. No luck. Absolutely no success in trying to dispute overcharge on bill. Then when I told them to get tank they said that would be $199. More than the dispute. So if tank rusts in yard it's 0 but they cone get it it's 199. Absolutely no customer service. They are reading from a play book.

They have been awful. Every phone call is frustrating and resolves nothing. They always say they will send someone right away, and they never do. They have kept me waiting to finish the installation of my boiler. I have been asking for a cite inspection for a month. They made me send a copy of my mothers death certificate to put the account in my name - even though she passed away 8 years ago, and theyve been taking my money just fine. Reading other posts here feels like a summary of my situation. (Sparta, **)I was overcharged by $1/gal for a fill this winter and decided to change. After complaining about the price, they credited to only $0.25 over the market rate (only slightly good thing to say).Then I had the tank replaced by another vendor and set by the side of the driveway. We purchased a home with an amerigas propane tank left on property by the previous owner! I called the local amerigas office and asked to have the tank removed from the property because it was no longer connected to anything on the property! The local office person said they would be out to remove the tank! One year later the tank was still sitting there no one ever came out to remove the tank! These people take your money and never deliver gas. 3 rd time and said they would put on emergency delivery again never showed never called. Numerous calls. They tell you they wont give your money back. Dont use these people.
