They made an agreement with my property manager to use this crappy service, and now I am stuck with them. It costs almost $5 per gallon plus fees to have delivered, plus rental fees that's almost $200 every year, plus test fees that if their equipment screws up, you got to pay for the test not them! They say you use propane in the middle of summer, even though your stove is electric! I have lived within a community since 2015 that Amerigas place their gas tanks in the ground back in 2002 when the community was being built. Over the past several years, they have started charging a tank rental fee that is, now, over $170 yearly. Even tried buying the 20+ year old tank thinking it we be wise but, they wanted to charge me $2500 for it which is the same cost of a brand new one. I have been a loyal AmeriGas customer for 14 years, and this recent experience proves that loyalty means nothing to them. After losing my job, I called to request that an emergency propane delivery fee be waived. I explained to the representative that we were completely out of propane and I have children in the home, yet the answer was still a flat no.The reason? ZERO STAR RATING!! DO NOT use this company. I got stuck with them because they bought out my previous gas company. They charge exorbitant prices for propane and the customer service is horrible. You can only speak to people in *****! No local office customer support. You make an appointment and they call you the morning of to cancel. Had tank pick up because they kept raising prices and when that can to pick up tank charge my account ******$ and it only cost me ****** for new tank and filled
Should be zero stars! This is a horrible company unless you like to pay double for the price of propane. If you leave expect a ***** **** for a "tank pick up fee" and a service dispatch fee. Stay away!
I would give a negative if possible for this company. They are incompetent and will not resolve problems they created. Communication is terribly poor. My elderly mother ordered propane by phone and paid them in full by debit card on the phone and it cleared the bank the next day. We received an email to thank her for payment...then another to say it didn't clear (yet the payment cleared the bank just fine.) They repeat the email "thank you for payment", "sorry your payment isn't processing" at least twice a week...**********... read more
I have been without heat for almost the entirety of February. This is the second winter that they have been completely unresponsive towards trying to schedule service delivery and we went from January to June without service last year. I was supposed to have someone out today to finally reconnect our gas and they called, hung up before saying hello, and cancelled our appointment with no other communication and no explanation. Please find someone else.
On January ******* I spoke to an amerigas employee and asked how the convenience payment plan worked. She told me and said it would be $99 to sign up and then my monthly payments would be around $350. So I told her I was good and I didnt want to proceed and just paid my bill in full. Then this month I got a delivery and received my bill via email and saw this $99 charge plus my delivery charge.
