I am beyond done with Amerigas. I have moved and called to tell them that. The bill is to no longer be in my name but to be reverted back to the landlord. The propane tank was at the property I was renting from when I moved there five years ago. They told me they would need to come and get the tank and charge me $199.00 to do so. I told them I am not paying for them to come get the tank because the tank was already at my property when I moved there because it is a rental property. If i can give this company a negative star it would be gracious. I have called multiple times in the course of 3 months for a tank pickup and cancelling my account and no one has ever come to pick it up. I received a bill for tank lease that i don't use and late fees for a bill i should not be responsible paying as i am not using this tank and they have not come to pick it up. Amerigas is the worst waited over a month and still no service technician. The fourth time I called a man apologized but he was hard to understand and I still have no satisfactory outcome
This company is a scam! Just bought a house in the beginning of the new year. The guy that came out sad the tank should be replaced, I made sure to ask what it would cost and the answer was nothing since we rent the tank. Well got the tank and then the bill and sure enough $290 charge. If I could give this company zero stars, I would. I have had nothing but trouble from them. I sold my house in **********, ** in May of 2022 at which time I called and told them I sold the house, asked them to please close the account, and I paid the remaining balance. They said they were closing the account and accepted my payment. Several month later they started to send me bills again. Furious with Amerigas. . . We have been a customer for at least 12 years. We no longer have a propane heater for our pool and I called for a pick up. After calling twice for a pick up, they filled my tank with propane once again. and charged our credit card. Then I called for a pick up and a refund. They have since picked up the tank and owed me $487.00 refund. They are now telling me they are charging me $313.98 as a pick up fee. It has been four months with many calls. Amerigas is horrible, not American for sure. Charges for everything. Horrible customer service, all overseas. Do not use them.
Worse customer service ever! Entirely all their fault that we had no gas! Gave us panic attacks! Gave us the round around. All they had to do was send a person to do a 5-minute job of taking the lock off of our gas coming into the house. We had no heat, no cooking gas, no hot water. Thieves, I bought this house a year ago in April. No name on tank, called several companies no account for this address, nothing in sale from house either. Had tank filled 2x, in Dec the previous owner stopped and told us he took his name off propane account, we asked which company, he said Amerigas, so I called explained the situation and rep told me that when I needed a refill to call set up account or have them come pick tank up if u did not want to use them.
